Jennifer + Jose | Oakdale Golf Course Wedding
Back in March of 2017, I created a romantic styled shoot at the Lumber Exchange in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was this shoot that led Jennifer and José to me, and I am eternally grateful. The couple was a joy to work with, welcoming me as part of their special day and making me feel like another part of their expanding family. This couple bridges the gap between culture and language, and seamlessly captured what was most important to the bride and groom and their families without compromising on class. The dark jeweled tones used in the flowers and wedding party attire added elegance to the wedding as well as to our outdoor photoshoot.
Jennifer and José’s wedding took place at Oakdale Golf Course in Oakdale, MN. It was full of family, friends, and no shortage of beloved wedding traditions. I wanted to capture the event from all its angles—the posed pictures, the candid moments; the happy, the silly, and the memorable. From sun up to sundown, I was able to explore new angles and incorporate new elements into every photo I took. During the reception, I focused on family to breathe life into every moment. When you’re surrounded by happy children on the dance floor, it’s impossible not to smile.
No matter how many weddings I photograph, I never get tired of capturing a groom’s first look at his bride, or family members letting loose on the dancefloor. To Jennifer and José: May you live happily ever after, and may your wedding photos last just as long.
