After months of Do-It-Yourself prep, bride Mandy and groom Curtis finally tied the knot amidst family, friends, and tons of natural lighting at the beautiful Machine Shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Everything about this wedding was custom, authentic, and totally unique. Mandy made most elements herself—including the concrete centerpieces situated at each table.

As is true at any wedding, all eyes were on the bride … except when they were on the groom. Curtis had his tuxedo custom-made from a shop in China that he and Mandy visit whenever they’re overseas for work.
He sported a crisp, maroon-red tux and navy blue sneakers while his groomsmen showed off the opposite combo—navy suits and red shoes.

The colors popped against cloudy, gray skies. Although the weather wasn’t everyone’s favorite, overcast skies are a photographer’s dream. Tons of bright, natural lighting flooded the venue as I snapped photographs of Mandy, Curtis, the wedding party, and the small, meaningful moments happening behind closed doors. It was an honor to photograph both their engagement as well as their wedding. Mandy and Curtis, thank you for letting me be part of your special day!
