Delivering the final package of wedding photos to newly married couples is so awesome.
I get to see them excited all over again when they refresh their memories of their wedding day.
It’s so fun to watch their eyes as they glance at each photo. The term “glad” comes to mind when I tell a couple that it takes a couple of months to finalize the photos. The couple settles into a routine and then, Wow! They can take some quiet time to leisurely look at what happened that glorious day. And how awesome it is to know that the moments of their day will be forever remembered.

In Tyler and Emilie’s case, the little ones were given books which they have read and studied up on their roles. Now those little girls and boys who have been so excited to be a part of someone’s big day get to shine. But we all know before the celebration came that day’s prepping…

The glamour: Make Up, Hair, Securing the Tie, feeling and breathing through the emotion.
And then the prettiest dress ever imagined enthusiastically is put on. The event that has been planned for months becomes real. Mom and Daughter are so filled with Joy that tears flow.

All those details put into planning your big day are in place…The little details put into her bouquet was captured, her shoes, their socks, the rings, her jewelry which all were carefully decided upon are now a part of the big day too!

And without a doubt, one of the most meaningful moments for me to capture is a couple’s first look. With Tyler’s back facing Emilie, she carefully walks to Tyler. Cards and gifts are covertly exchanged. And then they turn to see each other. Visions of the Love, Joy and Nervousness that they have begins to show. And of course, there seems to be a shortage of tissues. When the crowd is large, it is hard to grasp what everyone is doing. The objective of the day is to capture the bride and groom; but, it is a lot of fun to capture those in attendance too!

Taking pictures of guests with their huge smiles watching people and visiting with people during an event will show the couple how much fun everyone had on their day. Scooting around the venues to take snapshots of the guests, I think of how each guest had been hand-selected to attend their event. How lucky for them to witness the marriage of two people in love committing themselves to each other with their vows in front of God.

Thank you for having confidence in me to shoot your wedding day.

With Joy I post these photos of your special day. May you have many Anniversaries together.
