Scott + Brittany | Mankato Wedding
First things first: Let’s talk about those shoes! Brittany channeled her inner Carrie Bradshaw walking down the aisle in cobalt blue Manolo Blahnks (and her flower girl tried them on for size too!) This intimate wedding took place on a quiet Wednesday night in St. Peter, MN, and was filled with lots of family, lots of love, and lots of laughter. After Scott and Brittany said “I do,” it was time for the spotlight (or sunlight, in this case) to shine down on the newlyweds. I took their photos outside after the wedding ceremony, and I love how simple and beautiful the finished shots look. Brittany’s short, white dress and monochromatic bouquet made both her smile and her stilettos really pop. The bright summer sun radiated behind her and her new husband Scott as they spent the first few hours of married life together outdoors. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—nothing beats natural lighting!
This wedding was so much fun to be a part of. As I photographed the ceremony and the moments leading up to it, I felt like another member of the family. I am lucky to have a job that allows me to witness true love on a regular basis. And am even more lucky to connect with couples throughout Minnesota and the Midwest and watch their relationships grow over the years. I am certain Scott and Brittany have a bright future ahead of them—one that’s sure to be as bright as that summer sun.
